Good Aftrnoon.
The trustees and one resident attended the Board of Aldermen meeting on Wednesday, August 26. One of the trustees spoke on behalf of the HOA with the concerns of the residents regarding safety. The signed petition was given to the Board of Aldermen. The presentation by the resident included a map of Fairview Farms and the surrounding developments that have been built. We are hoping it opened the eyes of several of the board members as to how different Fairview Farms is than those that were were built after our subdivision. At the conclusion of the agenda, Ward 2 Alderman, Tricia Brynes, spoke on our behalf and asked the board to consider amending the plan concerning the stub street. The City staff believes that it may be a legal issue since the final plans are approved and McBride has received permission to build. The City Attorney is going to research the matter and give his opinion at the next Board of Aldermen meeting on September 9.
Meanwhile the trustees are going to pursue a legal consultation with an attorney. If anyone has a recommendation for an attorney specializing in Municipal Law, please let one of the trustees know. We are hoping to get a consultation to see if pursuing legal options has any merit. If we can secure a legal opinion, an HOA meeting will be scheduled.
Stay tuned...
